Privacy policy

crossfade.fm is a website and an iOS app that play internet radio stations. Henry Black runs it. This page tells you what data it keeps and why.
Without an account
You can listen without an account. Then crossfade.fm keeps:
- A count of plays and failed plays for each station, with the time and whether it came from the website or the app. The count does not identify you.
- On your device only: the last station, the receiver style and the table settings that you chose.
With an account
When you make an account, crossfade.fm keeps:
- Your name, email address and a hash of your password.
- Your favourite stations, saved collections and recently played stations.
- A sign-in cookie, so that you stay signed in.
crossfade.fm uses this data only to give you these features on the website and in the app. It does not sell your data, show advertising or track you across other apps or websites.
Other services
- Radio stations: the audio comes directly from each station's server, which sees your IP address. Each station has its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare hosts crossfade.fm, sends the account emails and checks for bots when you make an account.
- Sentry receives error reports. They do not include your name or email address.
- Station data comes from Radio Browser. crossfade.fm tells Radio Browser that a station was played, without data about you.
The servers keep request logs, which include IP addresses, for a short time to stop abuse and to find errors.
Delete your data
In the iOS app, open Account and tap Delete account. Or email support@crossfade.fm from the address of your account. This deletes your account, favourites, saved collections and recently played stations.
